PSA Prostate

1) Wash your hands thoroughly and then remove the test cassette (C) from the sealed pouch and place it on a flat and even surface.
2) Remove the round cap from the lancet (A) and prick your fingertip.
3) Collect 3 drops of blood using the included pipette (B). (It is very important that there are 3 large drops. Too few drops will not produce a result.)
Surface tension may form under the blood, preventing the cassette from absorbing it properly. If this happens, gently stir with the pipette to break the surface tension.
4) If your blood contains more red blood cells than normal, it may have a thicker consistency. In that case, use the blue container labeled PSA Diluent in this step. This dilutes the blood and makes it easier for the test to detect the values needed for an accurate result. If your blood has a normal consistency, skip this step.
5) Add the blood into the recessed area marked “S” on the test cassette.
6) Read the test result within 10–20 minutes. NOTE! The result is invalid after 20 minutes.
