Strep Throat (Strep A)
Take the sample by rotating the swab over the tonsils, the back of the throat, and any white spots in the tonsil area. Avoid contact with the teeth, palate, tongue, or cheek areas.
1) Remove the swab from the packaging.
2) Add 4 drops of (Reagent Buffer A) into the large container “Sample Tube”.
3) Add 4 drops of (Reagent Buffer B) into the large container “Sample Tube”.
4) Insert the swab into the tube. Rotate the swab and leave it for at least 1 minute, but no longer than 15 minutes.
5) Squeeze out all liquid from the swab against the inside of the tube. Compress the swab while removing it from the tube. Discard the swab.
6) Add 3 drops to the test cassette and start a timer. Read the result after 5 minutes. Do not read the result after 10 minutes.
